If you are the person who gets asked, "We need better lights for the service trucks—can you order something that actually works?" this is for you. So when someone asks how many watts is a 60 watt LED bulb, the honest answer is: it draws somewhere between 8 and 12 real watts, depending on efficiency. Look at the actual power draw on the spec sheet, not the "equivalent" number. For HELLA off road LED lights, I usually look for 20–50 actual watts per pod for medium-duty work lights. Anything labeled "100W equivalent" is probably drawing 15–20 real watts.
Beam pattern matters more than brightness. A flood pattern (wide, short throw) is great for backing up or loading. A spot pattern (narrow, long throw) is for highway-speed visibility. Most HELLA off road LED lights come in both. If you are ordering for a service truck that does both highway driving and job site work, get a combo pattern or a pair—one spot, one flood. Shipping and handling. Large light bars and pod kits are heavy. Shipping for a set of four HELLA off road LED lights can be $25–$60 depending on the vendor. Some offer free shipping above $100, which can save you. But oddly, I have seen the same lights $15 cheaper from a vendor who then charges $40 for shipping.
